These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, appointments, programmes, and digital services offered by Claudette Nsengimana Counselling ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the site or booking services.

1. Services
We provide counselling sessions, programmes, workshops, and related resources. Specific services, duration, pricing, and availability are described on the website or agreed during booking. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have consent from a parent/guardian to use our services. By booking, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal authority to enter into a counselling agreement.
3. Booking and cancellations
- Appointments can be scheduled through the website, email, or WhatsApp.
- You are responsible for ensuring the date, time, and timezone are correct.
- Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice unless otherwise specified. Missed or late cancellations may be charged at the full session rate.
- We may cancel or reschedule sessions in case of emergencies, illness, or unforeseen circumstances. We will provide as much notice as possible.
4. Fees and payments
Session fees are listed on the booking page or communicated directly. Payments are accepted via Stripe, PayPal, Western Union, or other methods shown at checkout. Some services may require payment in advance or a deposit. All fees are quoted in the currency indicated at booking.
5. Client responsibilities
- Participate honestly and respectfully during sessions.
- Provide accurate information relevant to counselling objectives.
- Inform us promptly of changes to your contact details or availability.
- Respect confidentiality of materials, exercises, and shared resources.
6. Confidentiality
Counselling sessions are confidential, subject to legal and ethical exceptions (e.g., risk of harm, abuse, or court orders). We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.
When using third-party platforms such as Zoom, WhatsApp, or email, you acknowledge that these services may process your information under their own policies.
7. Communication through WhatsApp and digital channels
By contacting us on WhatsApp or similar messaging tools, you consent to receiving responses through those platforms. Automated prompts may collect booking or support information and transfer it securely to our systems. You remain responsible for protecting your device and access to these communications.
8. Digital resources and intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, videos, and downloadable materials, is owned by or licensed to us. You may use the materials for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, or adapt our content without written permission, except as permitted by law.
9. Disclaimer
Counselling involves personal exploration and change. While we strive to provide supportive guidance, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claudette Nsengimana Counselling and its team shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our services if you breach these Terms, fail to pay required fees, or engage in behaviour that is abusive, unsafe, or unlawful. You may stop using our services at any time, subject to outstanding payment obligations.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and post the updated version on this page. Continued use of the services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
